Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 could be presented at a Galaxy Unpacked event on August 3rd, according to new leaks. Samsung didn’t show off its foldable phones for this year at the Galaxy Unpacked event where the Galaxy S21 series was unveiled. However, the company is widely expected to launch new foldable phones and smartwatches in the coming months. The new leaks provide details on Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event, the products that may be revealed, and also when they might start shipping.
Tipster Max Weinbach has announced that Samsung will host its next Galaxy Unpacked event on August 3rd. At the event, the South Korean giant is expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable phones. In addition, the company may also introduce the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 4. Additionally, YouTuber Jon Prosser claims that the Galaxy Watch 4 series will ship one week after the launch, i.e. on August 11th, and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is expected to ship three weeks after the launch event, i.e. on August 27th , delivered.
Prosser also claims that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 will be available in 42mm and 46mm sizes, while the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 4 will be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes.
Past leaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 could be the first foldable smartphone with a camera under the display. Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphone could also offer hybrid S-Pen support. The new pen is not supposed to have a sharp point to avoid damaging the screen, and the internal display is not easily scratched due to the armor protection on the screen, hinge and bezels. The outer body can be wrapped in Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for added protection.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to be available in three color options – black, dark green and silver. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 could be supported by a 4,275mAh or 4,380mAh battery.
